Best Time to Visit Baobab Central Camp

The Masai Mara is good year round, but the peak months are July to October during the Great Migration, when millions of wildebeest and zebras cross the plains and rivers. From December to February, the weather is dry, wildlife is easy to spot, and the reserve is less crowded. The green season, March to June, brings fewer tourists, lush scenery, and excellent birding, though some roads can get muddy.

The camp can be reached by road or air. From Nairobi, it’s about a 5 to 6 hour drive through the scenic Rift Valley to the camp. For faster travel, daily flights from Wilson Airport in Nairobi land at nearby Mara airstrips, followed by a short transfer to the camp.
