Nothing like calving season in Ndutu to witness the first moments of life. We missed the actual birth of this wildebeest calf by no more than 2 minutes, ( it’s a little tricky to find a mom delivering in sea of half a million wildebeest!!) but we had the joy of watching him take his first steps. How incredible that they are walking within 4 minutes of birth! A truly magical experience !

Ndutu, nestled in the heart of the Serengeti ecosystem, comes alive during the calving season as wildebeest embark on their annual migration.  The vast plains of Ndutu witness a breathtaking spectacle as thousands of wildebeest, accompanied by zebras 🦓 and other herbivores, converge in search of fresh grazing grounds and safer birthing sites.
