April :- The Herd Starts Heading North

Wildebeest Migration in April is mostly sighted and seen in Central Serengeti, just from South Serengeti and Ndutu Conservation Area when they had a calving season. This time, there are thousands of wildebeest calves and zebra calves too learning to cope with the current pressure of moving from one area to another.

In central Serengeti, they occupy the Moru Kopjes and Simba Kopjes regions, some herds move to the East of the Serengeti. The grass has occupied most of these regions, and wildebeests are happy to devour them all as they move north in search of more pasture and food.
