Naona Moru Camp

Naona Moru Camp

Naona Moru Camp is an intimate tented safari retreat nestled beside the iconic Moru Kopjes in Tanzania’s Central Serengeti. Perched on an elevated viewing point, the camp offers sweeping vistas of the southern plains, providing guests with a front row seat to the Serengeti’s abundant wildlife. Its strategic location ensures year round game viewing, with both resident and migratory species frequenting the area.

The camp comprises 11 tented suites, including a honeymoon suite, each thoughtfully designed to blend comfort with the natural environment. Guests can enjoy en-suite bathrooms with hot running water, comfortable sitting areas, and private verandas that overlook the vast plains. The décor combines neutral tones with vibrant accents, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere.

Naona Moru Camp caters to a diverse clientele, from honeymooners seeking romantic seclusion to families and small groups desiring a shared adventure. Its proximity to the Seronera Airstrip facilitates easy access, making it an ideal base for exploring the central Serengeti. The camp’s commitment to personalized service ensures a memorable and authentic safari experience.

Best Time to Visit

The Serengeti offers exceptional wildlife viewing throughout the year. However, the period from June to October is particularly favorable due to the dry season, which concentrates animals around water sources, enhancing visibility. The green season from November to May brings lush landscapes and the opportunity to witness the Great Migration as herds pass through the area.

How to Get There

By Air

Scheduled flights from Arusha or Kilimanjaro International Airport to Seronera Airstrip take approximately 1.5 hours. From the airstrip, it’s a short drive to the camp, offering scenic views and potential wildlife sightings along the way.

By Road

Overland transfers can be arranged from Arusha or other parts of northern Tanzania. While the journey is longer, it provides an adventurous route through the diverse Tanzanian landscape.
