Another wildebeest birth has been observed on the Southern Serengeti plains, adding to the ongoing calving activity in the region. The newborn calf was seen shortly after birth, staying close to its mother while beginning its first attempts to stand and move.
During this stage of the Great Migration, births are happening across different parts of the southern plains as herds remain concentrated in areas with fresh grazing. Calves must quickly gain strength and mobility to keep up with the herd and reduce exposure to predators.
This sighting reflects the continued spread of calving activity across the Southern Serengeti, with more newborns appearing as the season progresses.
