Gnu Ndutu Camp is a seasonal, mobile tented camp strategically located in the Ndutu region of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, near the Serengeti National Park. This camp is specially set up to follow the Great Migration’s calving season, when thousands of wildebeests give birth on the vast plains, attracting numerous predators.
With comfortably furnished tents, eco-friendly operations, and a prime location, Gnu Ndutu Camp provides an authentic, off the grid safari experience. The camp moves seasonally to ensure guests get the best wildlife viewing while staying close to the action. It’s an excellent choice for travelers looking for a front row seat to the dramatic predator-prey interactions of the calving season.
Best Time to Visit
December – March (Calving Season) – The best time to witness wildebeest births and intense predator activity.
April – May (Rainy Season) – Lush landscapes with fewer tourists, but some roads may be muddy.
June – November (Great Migration Moves North) – The camp relocates as herds move to central and northern Serengeti.
