First Mara River Crossing Spotted in the Serengeti No.4

The first wildebeest crossings at the Mara River have now been recorded. After weeks of movement through the western corridor and, more recently, Sand River, the migration has now reached one of its most dramatic stages. Sand River remains active, with continued crossing activity as more herds push northward.

Some wildebeest have already entered the Maasai Mara, confirming that the migration is now flowing across both sides of the border. Both Sand River and Mara River are currently active points, with daily movement expected to continue as the main herds follow. With predator activity on the rise and crossings underway, the Great Migration is now in full swing.
