Crossing No. 7: Herds Head South Again

Another major crossing has been recorded at Crossing No. 7 on the Mara River. This time, they are heading south. Such reversals are not unusual during the Great Migration, as the herds respond to shifting grazing conditions and instinct. Thousands of wildebeest and zebras poured into the river, braving strong currents and lurking predators, before climbing out on the southern banks and making their way back toward the Serengeti.

These movements remind us that the migration is never a straight path, it is a constant flow, driven by survival and the search for fresh pastures. For those lucky enough to witness it, the sight of a mega herd turning back south is just as breathtaking as watching them push north.
