Soroi Larsens Camp

Riverside elegance and wild Samburu charm

Larsens Camp, now relaunched as Soroi Larsens Camp, is one of Samburu’s iconic luxury tented camps. Nestled along the banks of the Ewaso Nyiro River, it combines the romance of classic canvas safaris with high end comfort. The camp features raised stone plinth tents with private verandas overlooking the river, outdoor showers, star beds, and attentive butler service in select suites. Renovations have brought a fresh touch of elegance while keeping the wild, intimate atmosphere intact.

The setting is breathtaking: elephants, antelope, and birdlife are drawn to the river right outside your tent, while the surrounding Samburu landscape unfolds with doum palms, acacia woodlands, and dramatic hills. With a pool, spa touches, and impeccable service, Larsens strikes the perfect balance of relaxation and adventure.

Best Time to Visit Soroi Larsens Camp

Samburu is best visited from June to October and December to March when the weather is dry, making wildlife easier to spot as animals gather around the river. The green season from April to May offers lush landscapes and fewer visitors, though afternoon showers are common.
