Serengeti Sametu Camp

Serengeti Sametu Camp

Serengeti Sametu Camp is a deluxe tented safari camp located in the eastern reaches of the Central Serengeti, near the Ngarenanyuki River and the Sametu Kopjes. This secluded setting offers guests an immersive experience in one of the park’s most wildlife rich areas, renowned for its big cat populations and proximity to the Great Migration routes. The camp’s strategic location ensures exceptional game viewing opportunities year round, with the added advantage of fewer tourists compared to other parts of the Serengeti.

The camp comprises 14 tented suites, including two two-bedroom family suites, accommodating up to 36 guests. Each tent is designed to provide comfort and privacy, featuring en-suite bathrooms with hot showers, flushing toilets, and private verandas overlooking the vast plains. The main lodge tent houses a lounge, library, dining area, bar, and a sundowner/fire pit area, creating a communal space for relaxation and storytelling after a day of exploration.

Dining at Serengeti Sametu Camp is a culinary delight, with gourmet meals served under the stars or in the dining tent. The camp offers a variety of activities, including daily game drives led by experienced guides, hot air balloon safaris, and bush dining experiences. The attentive staff ensures personalized service, catering to special dietary needs and providing a warm, welcoming atmosphere that enhances the overall safari experience.
