Lahia Tented Lodge

Lahia Tented Lodge

Lahia Tented Lodge is a luxury safari lodge located in the heart of the Serengeti National Park, Tanzania. The lodge is set in a prime location that offers guests sweeping views of the Serengeti’s vast plains. Its secluded setting provides a sense of intimacy with nature, while also offering close proximity to some of the most exciting wildlife sightings in Africa, particularly during the Great Migration. The lodge is designed to blend modern luxury with traditional African elements, creating a unique, comfortable, and immersive safari experience.

Lahia Tented Lodge features 25 spacious, luxurious tents that offer privacy, comfort, and stunning views. Each tent is elegantly furnished with plush beds, wooden flooring, and en-suite bathrooms that feature indoor and outdoor showers. The main area of the lodge includes a large dining tent, a cozy lounge area, and an infinity pool, all providing guests with exceptional comfort while still being surrounded by the natural beauty of the Serengeti.

Best Time to Visit

The best time to visit Lahia Tented Lodge is during the dry season, which typically runs from June to October. This is when wildlife is most active and the Great Migration is at its peak, as herds of wildebeest, zebras, and gazelles move through the Serengeti in search of fresh grazing land. The dry season also offers better conditions for game drives and wildlife sightings, as the vegetation is thinner, and animals gather around waterholes.

If you’re looking for a quieter experience, visiting during the shoulder seasons of May and November can offer more tranquility with fewer visitors, although some roads may be more difficult to navigate due to rain.

How to Get There

By Air

Guests can take a scheduled or charter flight from Arusha or Kilimanjaro International Airport to one of the nearby airstrips in the Serengeti, such as Seronera Airstrip. From there, it’s a short drive to the lodge.

By Road

If traveling by road, the journey from Arusha to Lahia Tented Lodge takes about 6 to 7 hours, depending on road conditions. The road to the lodge passes through beautiful landscapes, providing a scenic route into the heart of the Serengeti.
