Best Time to Visit Gnu Mara River Camp

July – October (Great Migration & River Crossings): The best time to see the famous wildebeest migration and predator action.

December – March (Calving Season & Green Landscape): The plains are lush, with baby animals and plenty of predators.

April – June (Rainy Season): Fewer tourists, lower rates, and a beautiful green landscape, but some roads may be muddy.

How to Get to Gnu Mara River Camp

By Air

Fly from Nairobi’s Wilson Airport to Kichwa Tembo or Mara North Airstrip. A 30 to 40 minute game drive from the airstrip to the camp.

By Road

A 5 to 6 hour drive from Nairobi via Narok Town. A scenic but long journey, with the last stretch on rough roads.
