Elewana Pioneer Camp is a luxury tented camp that evokes the spirit of the classic 1920s safari era, offering an elegant yet immersive wildlife experience in Kenya’s Masai Mara National Reserve. Located in the southern section of the reserve near the border with Tanzania, the camp is strategically positioned along the Sand River, providing a front-row seat to the Great Migration when wildebeest, zebras, and gazelles cross from the Serengeti into the Mara.
The camp’s design reflects vintage safari charm, featuring antique furnishings, Persian rugs, leather trimmed trunks, and campaign style furniture, all set within spacious canvas tents that blend seamlessly with the surrounding wilderness. Each tent offers stunning views of the river and open plains, allowing guests to watch wildlife directly from their private decks.
Beyond its luxurious setting, Elewana Pioneer Camp offers exclusive game drives with expert guides, ensuring unparalleled sightings of the Big Five (lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo, rhino), as well as cheetahs, giraffes, and the countless other species that call the Masai Mara home. The camp provides a private and secluded safari experience, away from the busier areas of the reserve, making it an excellent choice for honeymooners, photographers, and seasoned safari-goers looking for a refined adventure.
