Angama Safari Camp

A private mobile camp in the heart of the Mara

Angama Safari Camp is the little sister to Angama Mara, designed for travelers who want to be right in the middle of the action. This exclusive use, light footprint tented camp sits deep in the Mara Triangle, close to where the Great Migration river crossings unfold. With only four tents, it offers total privacy and flexibility… your own camp, your own schedule, and your own piece of the Mara.

The camp is fully mobile and eco-conscious, designed to leave no trace on the land. Despite its simplicity, it doesn’t compromise on comfort: spacious ensuite tents, warm hospitality, and a dedicated safari team make it feel intimate and personal. It’s perfect for families or groups of friends who want the thrill of a private campfire under the stars, with world class guiding and game viewing right at their doorstep.

Best Time to Visit Angama Safari Camp

The best time to visit Angama Safari Camp is during the July to October Great Migration season, when millions of wildebeest and zebra cross the Mara River nearby. The December to March window is also excellent, with clear skies, fewer tourists, and resident wildlife at its best.

Guests fly from Nairobi’s Wilson Airport to Kichwa Tembo or Serena airstrips in the Mara Triangle, followed by a short game drive to camp. Private charters can also land at Angama Mara’s private airfield. By road, the journey from Nairobi takes 5 to 6 hours, though most guests prefer to fly for convenience and time.
