Best Time to Visit Bateleur Camp

July to October (Great Migration Peak Season) – Best for witnessing massive herds of wildebeest and zebras crossing the Mara River, attracting predators like lions and crocodiles.

December to February (Best for Predator Sightings & Pleasant Weather) – Ideal for spotting lions, cheetahs, and leopards, with warm, dry conditions.

March to May (Low Season, Green & Lush Landscapes) – Offers breathtaking scenery and fewer tourists, making it perfect for photography and birdwatching, though roads may be muddy.

How to Get to Bateleur Camp

By Air

Flights from Wilson Airport (Nairobi) to Kichwa Tembo Airstrip, located just 15 minutes from the camp. The flight takes 45 minutes to 1 hour via airlines like Safarilink, AirKenya, and Governors’ Aviation.

By Road

A 5 to 6 hour drive from Nairobi through Narok to the camp. 4×4 vehicles are recommended due to rough terrain, especially in the rainy season.
