Western and Northern Serengeti

Herds Spotted in Western and Northern Serengeti

Herds have been spotted in Western and Northern Serengeti. Large groups have been spotted moving through the Western Corridor of the Serengeti, with many already entering the Grumeti Region. This area, known for its rich grasslands and the famous Grumeti River, is one of the most important stopovers during the migration. As the dry season continues, the animals are moving steadily in search of greener pastures and water.

At the same time, some herds have already made their way further north and have been seen arriving in the Northern Serengeti. These groups are likely the leaders of the larger movement that is expected to follow closely behind. This movement confirms that the Great Migration is now well underway, and that over the next few weeks, even more herds will likely push north towards the Mara River and eventually into the Masai Mara in Kenya. It’s a perfect time to catch the action in both the Grumeti and Northern Serengeti areas.
