How to Get to Dunia Camp
By Air
Fly from Arusha Airport (ARK) or Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) to Seronera Airstrip, the closest airstrip to Dunia Camp. The flight takes about 1 to 1.5 hours, followed by a 45-minute scenic game drive to the camp. Scheduled flights are operated by Coastal Aviation, Auric Air, and Regional Air.
By Road
A drive from Arusha to Dunia Camp takes around 6 to 7 hours, covering approximately 320 km. A 4×4 safari vehicle is required, especially during the rainy season. Most visitors prefer flying due to the vast distances and to maximize their time in the Serengeti.
Best Time to Visit Dunia Camp
June to October (Dry Season & Peak Game Viewing) – The best time for game drives and predator sightings as wildlife gathers around water sources. Fewer mosquitoes and clear skies make it an ideal time for photography.
November to March (Calving Season & Birdwatching) – Best for witnessing wildebeest calving, which attracts predators. The Serengeti is lush and full of birdlife.
April to May (Low Season, Fewer Crowds) – The green season with occasional rain, but fewer tourists and excellent photographic opportunities.
