Best Time to Visit Bateleur Camp

The Masai Mara is rewarding year round, but the highlight is the Great Migration between July and October, when herds of wildebeest and zebra thunder across the plains and rivers. From December to February, the short dry season provides clear skies, good predator sightings, and fewer crowds. The green season from March to June offers vibrant scenery, rich birdlife, and lower visitor numbers, making it perfect for travelers who value peace and photography.

How to Get to Bateleur Camp

The camp is best reached by air, with daily flights from Nairobi’s Wilson Airport to Kichwa Tembo Airstrip, followed by a short drive to camp. By road, the journey from Nairobi takes 5 to 6 hours, passing through the scenic Rift Valley and into the Masai Mara. Though long, the drive is rewarding with plenty of cultural and natural sights along the way.
