AndBeyond Grumeti Serengeti Lodge is a luxurious safari lodge located in the remote western region of Tanzania’s Serengeti National Park, along a tributary of the Grumeti River. The lodge offers a unique and intimate wildlife experience, providing opportunities for guests to observe diverse wildlife, including hippo pods and lion prides. Its secluded position makes it an ideal spot for private safaris, offering an exceptional view of the Great Migration, particularly during June and July. The lodge also offers cultural engagement with local communities through various development projects. It is designed with a blend of traditional Maasai elements and natural materials, creating a refined yet comfortable atmosphere for guests.
Best Time to Visit
The dry season, from late June to October, is considered the best time to visit the Serengeti. During this period, animals gather around rivers and waterholes, making wildlife easier to spot. This timeframe also coincides with the Great Migration, offering opportunities to witness river crossings. However, visiting during the wet season (March to May) has its own charm, with lush green landscapes and fewer crowds.
Getting There
Access to the lodge is typically via scheduled flights from Arusha to Grumeti Airstrip, followed by a short five to ten minute drive to the lodge. This convenient travel option allows guests to quickly immerse themselves in the Serengeti experience.
