Nomad Serengeti Safari Camp is a pioneering mobile camp that moves several times a year to follow the Great Migration across Tanzania’s Serengeti National Park. Designed to immerse guests in the heart of the action, the camp offers an authentic safari experience with a focus on wildlife viewing and minimal environmental impact.
The camp features six spacious walk-in tents, including a family tent, each equipped with en-suite bathrooms, eco-flush toilets, and safari bucket showers. The open-plan lounge and dining area provide communal spaces for relaxation and dining, with panoramic views of the surrounding plains.
With a dedicated team of experienced guides and staff, Nomad Serengeti Safari Camp offers personalized service and expert-led game drives, ensuring guests have front-row seats to the dramatic events of the migration and the diverse wildlife of the Serengeti.
Best Time to Visit
The camp’s mobility allows it to position itself optimally throughout the year:
December to March: Southern Serengeti (Ndutu region) for the calving season.
April to May: Central Serengeti (Moru Kopjes) as herds move northward.
June to July: Western corridor near the Grumeti River.
August to November: Northern Serengeti near the Mara River for river crossings.
How to Get There
Access to the camp is typically via scheduled flights from Arusha or other major Tanzanian airports to the nearest airstrip corresponding to the camp’s current location. From the airstrip, guests are transferred by 4×4 vehicles to the camp, with opportunities for wildlife viewing en route.
