Ndutu Wilderness Camp is a seasonal tented safari camp nestled in the heart of the Ndutu plains within the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Operating from mid December to mid March, the camp is strategically positioned to offer guests front row seats to the Great Migration’s calving season, where thousands of wildebeest give birth on the short grass plains, attracting numerous predators and providing unparalleled wildlife experiences.
The camp comprises 10 spacious tents, including a family tent, each designed to blend seamlessly with the natural environment. Tents are equipped with en-suite bathrooms featuring gravity fed hot showers and eco-friendly flush toilets, and private verandas overlooking the vast plains. Emphasizing eco-friendly practices, the camp operates on solar power and is designed to have minimal environmental impact.
Guests can enjoy communal dining in the mess tent, relax in the lounge area, and gather around the campfire in the evenings. Activities include morning and evening game drives in open 4×4 vehicles, guided walking safaris, birdwatching excursions, and visits to nearby Maasai villages and the Olduvai Gorge.
