Lake Masek Tented Camp is a serene and luxurious safari camp situated in the Ndutu region, on the edge of Lake Masek within the Southern Serengeti ecosystem, Tanzania. Best Time to Visit

The best time to visit Lake Masek Tented Camp is from December to March, as this is the peak of the Great Migration. During these months, vast herds of wildebeest and zebras gather in the Ndutu area, offering spectacular wildlife viewing opportunities. The dry season, from June to October, is also a great time to visit, with clear skies and excellent game viewing conditions as animals congregate around water sources. The camp is open year-round, but visiting during the Great Migration provides the most iconic safari experience.

How to Get There

By Air

The easiest way to reach Lake Masek Tented Camp is via a scheduled or chartered flight from Arusha or Kilimanjaro International Airport to the Ndutu Airstrip, which is about 4 km from the camp. The flight takes about 45 minutes and offers a scenic aerial view of the Serengeti.

By Road

For those who prefer to travel by road, the journey from Arusha to the camp takes approximately 5 to 6 hours, depending on road conditions. The drive passes through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area and offers scenic views of the surrounding landscapes, although the roads can be rough in some areas.
