The Wildebeest Shift Begins

The Wildebeest Shift Begins

The Wildebeest Shift Begins, right now the wildebeests are in the central part of the Serengeti, moving into the Rongai area as they head west toward Fort Ikoma. The grass is still good here, so the herds are stopping to feed and rest for a while.

But the rains are starting to slow down, and the land is drying up. Soon, the wildebeests will begin to move north, looking for greener grass and more water as they continue their journey through the Serengeti and eventually towards the Maasai Mara.
