Legendary Serengeti Camp

About Legendary Serengeti Camp

Legendary Serengeti Camp offers an exceptional mobile safari experience that brings guests into the heart of one of the world’s most famous wildlife destinations, the Serengeti. The camp is designed to provide a truly immersive experience, following the movements of the Serengeti’s wildlife, particularly during the annual wildebeest migration. By being mobile, the camp positions itself in different parts of the Serengeti throughout the year, ensuring that guests are always close to the action, whether it’s witnessing the dramatic river crossings of the migration or observing the calving season in the southern plains.

The camp features 11 luxurious tents, each providing comfort and privacy while still being intimately connected to the wilderness around it. The tents are spacious and well appointed, with en-suite bathrooms equipped with flush toilets, wash basins, and bucket showers that provide warm water upon request. The décor of each tent is simple yet elegant, reflecting the traditional safari style but with modern conveniences to ensure a comfortable stay. The camp is divided into two sections, with each section containing 5 or 6 tents, offering a more intimate and exclusive experience. Each section also has its own lounge and dining area, providing a relaxing space for guests to unwind after a day of game viewing.

Best Time to Visit

The best time to visit Legendary Serengeti Camp is largely dependent on what aspect of the migration or Serengeti wildlife you wish to experience.

Dry season (June to October): This is peak game-viewing season. The dry weather makes it easier to spot wildlife as animals congregate around waterholes. The Mara River crossings are a highlight of this period, attracting visitors eager to witness the spectacle of wildebeest and zebras braving the river.

Calving season (December to March): This period is perfect for those interested in seeing the wildebeest calving. With thousands of wildebeest giving birth to their young, it’s an exciting time for both wildlife enthusiasts and photographers. It’s also a prime time for predator action as carnivores target the newborn calves.

The most convenient way to reach Legendary Serengeti Camp is by air. Guests can fly into Seronera Airstrip in central Serengeti from Arusha or Kilimanjaro International Airport.
