Best Time to Visit Escarpment Luxury Camp Serengeti
The Serengeti delivers year round safari magic, but the Fort Ikoma area is especially rewarding during the Great Migration (June to October) when vast herds pass nearby. The dry season (June to October) offers dramatic wildlife action with easier sightings around waterholes. The green season (November to May) brings a lush landscape, excellent birdlife, and calving season in the southern Serengeti, making this camp an ideal base for quieter safaris.
How to Get to Escarpment Luxury Camp Serengeti
The camp is accessible by air and road. Daily flights from Arusha, Kilimanjaro, or other northern circuit airstrips land at Fort Ikoma Airstrip, followed by a 20 minute drive to camp. By road, it’s a full day journey from Arusha (7 to 8 hours), usually combined with stops at Ngorongoro or Lake Manyara, making it a good stop along an overland safari route.
